Day 7
The group decided to make modifications to the plan. Along with the wall, five watchtowers will also be built (or modified from existing buildings) in the cardinal directions and near the movie theater. The clock tower is also slated as the main watchtower (highest point in the city, after all). To speed up construction, the phycisists had made a plan to turn an abandoned tow truck into a simple crane. To turn the tow truck into a crane one or two days might be needed, along with another person to help the two phycisists. Meanwhile, the group managed to salvage some carts and building materials from nearby areas of the city. The chemist is currently the one mixing the cement; although the factory women knew how to mix them too, the chemist's mix is much more effective. He doesn't know how to make good explosives, as he was just a research assistant before the war. With these additions, the project is slated to be finished in two or three weeks. If you decide to convert the tow truck you'd make things easier, and the wall would be done in about two weeks. This is if everyone pitches in, and no hindrance was found.
The two newcomers is soon equipped with two knives each (the guns were all distributed). They managed to get trained briefly by military man.
Five people were sent to assess the forest to the southeast. These were the emergency leader, the biology girl, the merchant man, a military woman, and the cook. The round trip takes them all day. In the forest, the group checks if the local flora and fauna is contaminated. While the biology girl checks, a military man is attacked by a hungry bear. Thankfully he only escaped with bruises, and the group managed to kill the bear with four hits of AK round to the body and head. After the biology girl declares that the bear is clean, the cook quickly strips slabs of meat from the bear. The group gathered fifteen slabs of meat, each could be made into two rations if they find more clean water. The forest is relatively clean, and the slight traces of contamination only appeared in some trees and undergrowth. They returned just before evening set.
Meanwhile, the group takes a break from construction and tries to find a functioning vehicle. They only found a very old motorcycle, with no wheels, but the engine could still run because it had no electronics. The motorcycle was found in the landfill, and only has a quarter of gas left in its tank. The group takes the motorcycle to the movie theatre.
During the free period nearing the evening, the group decided to tell stories about the war. The military folks were mostly green recruits who had been only trained a few months before the war, but the intense training is good enough. They only heard rumors from their higher-ups that the war was started because North Korea secretly launched a non-nuclear missile, but America mistook the launch to be nuclear, and retaliated with another nuke. Then all hell breaks loose as China and Russia also launched their nukes, but the military folks didn't know why. The civilians only knew that nuclear war was happening because of an 'American nuke launched at the Motherland', so they were suprised when the military folks tell them the rumor. The military folks themselves did not remember about where the missiles' targets were, but they know about nearby military bases. The leader already annotated the roadmap about the bases' general whereabouts.
The electrician also teaches the group a bit about electronics, using the boombox as an exhibit. The group now understand more about electronics, and the boombox was safely put back together again.

Current Location: In the small city. There's a forest to the southeast, and some plains to the south and west. There's a partly destroyed military base to the south (your former bunker's there too). There's still some wildlife in the forest, but you aren't sure they're not contaminated. And your current location is approximately in Western Russia. The plains to the south seem to have had some sort of shed, but it's now rubble. The grass on the plains seem yellow and sick, and small patches of snow could be seen. Thee is some military bases in the region, but the nearest is about fifteen days' walk west from the small city.

(carriontrooper, could you put an equip list next to the members of the group up, just so we know what they have on them without having to backtrack or look elsewhere? that'd be cool)
have someone help the physicists build the crane. continue working on the wall and the towers. (do i have to use an action every week to have them keep working?)
look for wheels for the bike. look for just plain bikes, preferably mountain bikes, as well. Also search for gasoline; in barrels and underground at gas stations. if the pumps aren't working, have anyone with skill in that mechanical area devise a way to bring the fuel to the surface, if possible.
send a team to the shed that was previously mentioned. have them pass through the military base on their way, and give it one final thorough search. at the shed have them look it over, for any objects or advantages, and then return to the city, unless there is something major at the shed or around it that requires further action. have the group be lead by a military member, and equip them with the second radio, remaining in contact with the main leader. have them bring supplies; specifically their Geiger counters and radiation suits, just in case.
( i think we need to find a clean stream or discover a way to purify water; in case we start trading with another group or gain more people. i don't know the exact science of it, but would rain be contaminated?)

| Ok, in Day 8 there's gonna be an equip list. No action needed to tell them to work. And yes, the rain could be contaminated, because of all the radioactive dust still lingering in the upper atmosphere. It's beginning to set into a nuclear winter too.

Day 8
The group still work on making the city defenses. One of the factory women helps the phycisists build a simple crane using the tow truck, because she knows a bit of mechanics. The crane will be done the next day. Meanwhile, a good section of the wall had been built on the south side. The whole wall and watchtowers will be done in about three weeks' time, since a part of the group is sent to the shed.
The group tries to find a good pair of wheels for the motorcycle during breaks. They found some undamaged and unrusted wheels in an abandoned auto shop, and quickly took two to see if they fit the motorcycle. They kinda fit. The motorcycle will be fixed the next day. Also, the group noticed that one of the gas stations near the movie theater still has a functioning manual pump. After the motorcycle's fixed the group could refill it there.
The group decides to send a team to investigate the shed, and take another look at the military base. The emergency leader, the psychologist, a military woman and the merchant were sent there. They started out in the morning, and will reach the military base in the dead of night. The emergency leader stays in contact with the leader via the walkie-talkie. They also brought some supplies: food to last a week, geiger counters, gas masks and radiation suits.
The weather is starting to get chilly, and daylight's time is getting shorter. Winter is coming, but the group doesn't know precisely when. They are currently well-clothed, but that may not last.
Your group's ration supply is starting to get low. About a week and it will be gone.
Your group: Leader: 1 military woman (EQPT: 1 AK/15mag30, 1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight, walkie-talkie) Emergency leader: 1 military man(1 AK/14mag30 1mag26, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight, walkie-talkie) 1 military man (1 AK/15mag30, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 military man (1 Makarov/3clip8, knife, axe, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 military woman (1 AK/15mag30, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 military woman (1 Makarov/3clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 chemist man (1 Makarov/3clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 physicist woman (1 Makarov/3clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 physicist man (1 Makarov/3clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 psychology woman (1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, rad suit, flashlight) 1 electronist man (1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, swiss knife, geiger, gasmask, flashlight) 1 merchant man (1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, flashlight) 1 cook woman (1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, geiger, gasmask, flashlight) 2 factory women (1 Tokalev/15clip8, knife, axe, geiger, gasmask, flashlight for both) 1 biology college girl (2 knifes) 1 gym teacher woman (2 knifes)

have the group at the city, and the group walking to the base and the shed look for thick cloths, jackets and blanket.
send a miltary person along with the biologist girl to join with the miltary base group. have them fill up the bike with gas and ride the motercycle. (but first have if fixed up and checked over to make sure its safe) make sure they bring axes. when the group is done searching the area, have them travel to the forest and build a small hunting lodge with several simple posts in various parts of the forest in the trees or hidden. have the biologist girl figure out which animals are heathy and have her devise a hunting schedule that will get us enough good meat, but still keep the enivroment relatively in balance. the meat will be cut up into pieces and packaged with water there, and then either sent back to the city or kept at the lodge.
begin cutting down and gathering dead trees and sticks at the edge of the forest, that could be used as fire wood.

Have the electrician see if he can build a radio yet.
Look for a nearby power station.
Doing this in their free time, if possible. So the wall will keep going up.
